Direct Recruitment to the Posts of Court Masters/Personal Secretaries

Posts Available: Court Masters/Personal Secretaries to the Hon’ble Judges and Registrars (Category 6 of Division – I (Gazetted)).

Scale of Pay: Rs. 54,220 – 1,33,630

Application Process:

• Applications are to be submitted online.
• Online application portal available from 08.01.2025 to 31.01.2025 on the High Court’s website https://tshc.gov.in and District Courts’ websites in Telangana.
• Last date for online application submission: 31.01.2025, 11:59 PM.

Examination Schedule:

• Applicants are advised to visit the official website regularly for updates.

Educational Qualifications:

• A Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or Law from a recognised university or equivalent.

Passed Government Technical Examination with:

• Speed of 180 w.p.m. in English Shorthand (150 w.p.m. candidates can also apply).
• Higher Grade in Typewriting in English (45 w.p.m).
• Requisite qualifications must be possessed as of the notification date.

Note: Candidates from other states must submit an ‘equivalency certificate’ from the Telangana State Board of Technical Education.

Age Limit:

• As of 01-07-2025, candidates must be between 18 and 34 years.

Age relaxation:

• 5 years for SC/ST/Aboriginal Tribes in Agency areas, BCs, and EWS.
• 10 years for PWD.
• As per Rule 12(1)(c)(i) for ex-servicemen.
• Upper age limit relaxation for contract/outsourcing candidates with at least two years of service by the notification date.

Method of Recruitment:

• Based on merit through skill tests in Shorthand English (180 w.p.m. and 150 w.p.m.) and oral interview.

Minimum qualifying marks:

• 45% for OC/EWS.
• 40% for BC.
• 35% for SC, ST, and PWD.

Shortlisted candidates (ratio of 1:3) will be called for certificate verification and oral interview.

Weightage marks for contract/outsourcing candidates based on length of service.

Eligibility criteria:

• Sound health and active habits.
• Good character and antecedents.
• Indian citizenship.

Examination Fee:

• Rs. 600/- for OC and BC categories; Rs. 400/- for SC, ST, EWS, ex-servicemen, and PWD.
• Concessional fee for SC/ST candidates recognized in Telangana.
• Fee to be paid online only.
• Fee is non-refundable.
