Direct Recruitment to the Posts of Computer Operator

Posts Available: Computer Operator Category 3(b) of Division-II

Scale of Pay: Rs. 38,890 – 1,12,510

Application Process:

Examination Schedule:

Educational Qualifications:

• A Degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, or Law from a recognized university.
• Passed Typewriting Higher Grade examination in English (45 w.p.m.).
• Post-Graduation Diploma in Computer Programming or PG Diploma in Computer Applications (one-year course) or Degree in B.C.A.
• All requisite qualifications must be possessed as of the notification date.

Age Limit:

• As of 01-07-2025, candidates must be between 18 and 34 years.

Age relaxation:

• 5 years for SC/ST/Aboriginal Tribes in Agency areas, BCs, and EWS.
• 10 years for PWD.
• As per Rule 12(1)(c)(i) for ex-servicemen.
• Upper age limit relaxed for contract/outsourcing candidates in the Service of the High Court for the State of Telangana with at least two years of service by the notification date.

Method of Recruitment:

• Computer-based examination with objective type multiple-choice questions.

50 questions: 25 Computer Knowledge and 25 General Knowledge.

Each question carries 1 mark, with a 60-minute duration.

• Typing test in English higher grade for 40 marks conducted on computers. Oral interview (viva-voce) for 10 marks.
• Minimum qualifying marks:

45% for OC and EWS.

40% for BC.

35% for SC, ST, and PWD.

• Candidates qualified in the examination and typing test will be shortlisted (1:3 ratio) for certificate verification and oral interview.
• Weightage marks for contract/outsourcing candidates based on length of service with at least two years of service and meeting minimum qualifying marks.

Examination Fee:

• Rs. 600/- for OC and BC categories; Rs. 400/- for SC, ST, EWS, ex-servicemen, and PWD.
• Concessional fee for SC/ST candidates recognised in Telangana.
• Fee to be paid online only.
• Fee is non-refundable.
